Last year the Undertones have. . .
Played the most gigs since re-forming five or six years ago. We did 12 festivals in the summer.
It's funny that we got offered Glastonbury because of John Peel's death. 'Teenage Kicks' was played on the radio and we did interviews on television. Our profile has been raised but for the wrong reasons.
A phrase I use far too often is. . .
Bollocks.
I wish people would take more notice of. . .
The environment. It's something I'm very concerned about, especially people who drive cars. My wife and I choose not to drive a car. We live in London so you don't really need one.
The most surprising thing that happened to me. . .
Was having a daughter. I never thought it would happen because I'm still a big kid at heart. Still playing music is surprising as well. I was 17 when the Undertones were on Top of the Pops.
A common misconception of the Undertones is. . .
We're not as good as we used to be and we're not the same without Feargal [Sharkey]. I disagree.
I'm not a politician but. . .
I'd like to get out of the mess in Iraq. I'd put Tony Blair and George Bush in jail because of it.
The ideal night out is. . .
Going to the pictures and for a meal with my wife.
In moments of weakness. . .
I panic. I look to my wife.
In a nutshell, my philosophy is. . .
Life is too short so enjoy it while you can.
