Chinese man held over DVD fraud



A CHINESE man appeared in court yesterday after gardai seized counterfeit DVDs and related equipment worth about 300,000. Gardai said a number of DVD burners, copiers and printers, as well as thousands of counterfeit DVDs, were found during a search of an apartment on Dublin's northside on Friday evening. The 24-year-old man was charged under the Immigration Act and was remanded in custody to appear again in court on Wednesday.
