Garryowen enjoy their trip north

AIL DIVISION ONE BALLYMENA 24 GARRYOWEN 28 Eaton Park

DESPITE an outstanding performance by Ballymena's Paddy Wallace . . . in which he contributed 19 points . . . Garryowen clinched the points at Eaton Park.

Ballymena led 16-15 at the halfway stage but towards the close it was the Munster team that were playing the better rugby. Their backline and especially the wingers always looked dangerous and with their opponent's defensive work suspect, they ran in three brilliant tries.

One consolation for Ballymena is that they gained a bonus point.
