Funeral of Irish student this morning



THE funeral of Patricia McDonald (21) from Cootehill, Co Cavan, one of the two Irish students who died in a house fire in France last weekend, takes place this morning.

Patricia died with her friend Carol Nolan (20), from Walkinstown, Dublin, after a fire in the house they were renting in Lorient.

The girls' bodies were flown home from France on Friday evening and Carol's funeral is expected to take place early this week.
