KERRY footballing star Paidi O Se has been confirmed as the guest of honour for leading estate agent Douglas Newman Good's first major property exhibition outside for Ireland.
London next month.
The Kerry great and the county's former football manager will officially open the special one-day event in London, which is designed to attract buyers from England who either want to return home, settle here or buy a holiday retreat.
The exhibition will feature the best properties currently being marketed by 70 estate agents representing DNG branches nationwide .
The properties range from second-hand residential homes to new developments, rural cottages, sites, public houses and retail units. The event takes place on 4 February at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington. DNG economist Paul Murgatroyd will host a series of property information seminars for visitors on the day, discussing various aspects of the buying process in Ireland and the market here in general.
According to managing partner Keith Lowe, the current Irish market offers real value for UK buyers, with the strength of sterling adding greatly to that potential. He says the exhibition will be of great interest to the many people living in London planning to invest or move to Ireland.
It's an important event from the Irish property vendor's viewpoint also, adds the agency's nationwide managing partner, Michael Glynn.
"We are greatly looking forward to our first major property event outside of Ireland. We are the first Irish property network in 2006 out of the starting blocks with such an event and this is important from the Irish vendor's point of view as we hope to gain maximum selling exposure for their properties. Irish property sellers should be talking to their local DNG agent now to get their property on board.
We believe the London public will come out in force to meet us and to view the properties on display."
>> Another leading estate agency, Sherry FitzGerald, will hold their Irish property exhibition in London on Saturday 4 March, and, before that, for the very first time, in New York on 22 February.
