TRAVEL TO GULLIVERS IN DUBLIN'S SANTRY
TENANTS are being sought for Gullivers, a new neighbourhood retail centre, in Santry on the north side of Dublin.
The scheme, which adjoins the proposed location for the first IKEA store in Ireland, is being developed by the Cosgrave group and is part of a larger development that includes 14,000 square metres of warehouse retailing space.
The centre extends to 1,626 square metres in total and letting agent John Kirwan is offering six individual units ranging in size from 142 to 550 square metres with the rent being quoted at 430 per square metre.
Given its proximity to the newly built residential area in Northwood and the ongoing refurbishment project in Ballymun, Kirwan expects significant demand for the units.
"This is a good opportunity for convenience stores, offlicences, take-aways, pharmacies and bookmakers to gain a foothold in a burgeoning retail area, " he says.
Due to a number of infrastructure improvements in the North Dublin County Council and Fingal County Council areas, hundreds of acres of new residential-zoned land have been opened up for development.
In the region of five thousand new residential units will be built as part of the Ballymun regeneration project and planning applications are currently being prepared on a number of other large parcels of residential land in the immediate locality.
