THE Labour Party has criticised the government over the slow progress in making broadband internet access available.
The Labour spokesman on communications, Tommy Broughan, was reacting to the news last week that the North now has 100% access to broadband lines. He said the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and minister Noel Dempsey must take full responsibility. Only 70% of Irish homes can install high-speed internet lines.
