INthe week in which a member of the clergy did his bit for the confidence of men of a certain age, it seems Fianna Fail may be about to play the 'age card' come general election time.
If the contest is held in May 2007 then Mary O'Rourke (RIGHT), in Longford/Westmeath, will be celebrating her 70th birthday. Rory O'Hanlon, who's automatically returned as Ceann Comhairle in Cavan-Monaghan, will be 73, a year older than Michael Woods, if he contests in Dublin North-West.
Over in Clare, Brendan Daly, if he gets through the selection convention, will be 67 while Donal Moynihan in Cork North-West will be 66.
And, somebody mentioned new, young candidates.
