Farmers Journal pays out 2.5m over printing contract



A LEGAL action over the termination of the printing contract for the Irish Farmers Journal with a printing company in the Independent Newspapers group has been settled for 2.5m in the High Court.

Terenure Printers had claimed the purported termination of its contract to print the Journal was "contrived" at a time when "secret talks" to have the journal printed by the Irish Times were being finalised.
