DAN Boyle of the Greens is about to put it up to the other parties in the Dail to do their bit to battle ageism. The Cork South Central TD will this week publish legislation that would reduce the age for candidates in presidential elections from 35 to 18 and in general elections from 21 to 18. If you can vote at 18, you should be allowed run at 18, is Boyle's reasonable justification for the changes.
