BLACKROCK HOPE FOR RETURN OF IRISH U-19S Blackrock College were not exactly foot-perfect against Terenure College in the first round last Sunday. They will hope to have Ireland Under19 Schools centre Luke Fitzgerald and Leinster Under-19 Schools number eight David O'Connor back from injury for the quarter"nal.

FINLAY SET TO FOLLOW FAMILY CUP TRADITION St Mary's College scrum-half Killian Finlay will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his brother Michael Junior and his father Michael Senior, who both hold Senior Cup medals from the wins over Belvedere College (106) in 2002 and Terenure College (10-9) in 1969, respectively.

KIDNEY JUNIOR THE FOCUS FOR DECLAN There were rumours of Munster coach Declan Kidney's presence at the Pres Cork-Rockwell Junior Cup match. He wasn't spying for new talent unless you include his out-half son Kevin.

PRES TO GET SECOND BITE IN MUNSTER CUP A new format for the Avonmore Munster Schools Junior Cup, giving all the schools at least two matches, will allow Pres to make amends for their 15-14 reverse to a Brian Smith try, no less than nine minutes into injury-time, for Rockwell College after it looked as though young Kidney had given Pres the upper hand with two conversions of tries from Patrick O'Connell and Olan Kelleher.

MUNSTER VISIT PRES FOR CUP LAUNCH The boys of Pres Cork are in for a treat tomorrow.

Members of the Munster senior rugby squad, which could include Christian Cullen, Frankie Sheahan and Anthony Horgan, will be at the Cork school when the Avonmore Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cups will be of"cially launched.

MEATH CONTINGENT ADD BITE TO 'KNOCK Ireland Under-19s Brian Collins (Duleek) and lock Tom Walsh (Navan), and Bryan McKeon (Drumree), Ronan Greally and Shane Kelly (both Dunshaughlin) and Mark Sheeran (Navan) provide a very Meath backbone to a physical Castleknock College side that will take some stopping in the last eight.
