A NEW phase of the major 200m Carrickmines Manor residential scheme on Glenamuck Road, Dublin 18, went on the market earlier this weekend, with 50 units selling from the plans. Building has just started and this phase is due on-stream next year.
A collaboration between Pierse Homes and Redquartz Boundary, this is a stylish, upmarket development close to shops, schools and transport networks.
Built on a site just past Carrickmines Tennis Club, this scheme is a mix of houses and apartments. Architects O'Mahony Pike have laid out the blocks in a series of zones, each self-contained in terms of leisure space, parking and amenities. Several landscaped areas and courtyards are dotted around.
The houses come in small clusters set within courtyards, while the apartments are laid out in several five-storey blocks, finished in brick, plaster and glass. The apartments open out to good-sized balconies and houses come with their own private gardens.
One-bed apartments have a floor area of 49sq m (525sq ft), two-beds range from 66 to 80sq m (710 to 860sq ft). The apartments include a hall, kitchen, living/dining area, bedrooms, bathroom and ensuite in all two-beds. Also on offer in this phase are a range of three- and four-bed townhouses. Three-bed houses have a floor area of 125sq m (1345sq ft), while four-beds of 137sq m (1470sq ft) are laid out over three floors.
Carrickmines Manor is close to the M50, and a proposed Luas line extension is expected to run close by.
