Get the Park West Pointe

LIVING close to the office may not be so bad after all, especially if your home is at Park West Pointe, the new residential quarter in the heart of Park West Business Campus in Dublin 12.

An unusual development with some unique features, Park West Pointe has been designed as a new living quarter. While most business parks are bleak places out of office hours, Park West Pointe is set to come alive, with its own communal gardens, shops, cafe, restaurant and transport.

Over 400 apartments have been sold, to the value of excess 120m, since the development was first launched last year. Many of the apartments are laid out in striking crescent-shaped buildings, finished in a mix of plaster and timber cladding.

The project has been nominated for the Best Residential Development in Ireland 2005 award. it received an Opus Building of the Year award and, more recently, the Allianz Business award for Business and Arts Collaboration.

Dotted throughout Park West are several sculptures, such as White Light by Vivienne Roche and Irish Wave by Angela Carter. The development is just off the M50 and has direct access to Clondalkin and Cherry Orchard.

The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is five minutes drive away.

On-site facilities already up and running include a Spar convenience store, Giraffe creche, Jackie Skelly gym, O'Brien's sandwich bar, pub, dry cleaners and an oriental restaurant.

The development is served by Dublin Bus, which links it to the city centre less than five miles away. There is also a shuttle bus from Park West Pointe to the nearest Luas station at the Kylemore Road and Naas Road junction. A new Arrow train station is also being built adjacent to the apartments.

On offer in this phase are a mix of one-, two- and threebed apartments. The onebeds come with a small study and have a floor area of 65sq m (700sq ft), while the twobeds range in size from 74 to 102sq m (800 to 1100sq ft).

The three-bed apartments are quite spacious, ranging in size from 116 to 153sq m (1250 to 1650sq ft).

Most apartments have good-sized balconies opening out from living areas, while penthouse suites have rooftop terraces of up to 102sq m (1100sq ft).

Features included at Park West Pointe include contemporary fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, and downlighting to hall, bathrooms and livingroom. All the apartments have access to high-speed lifts, and there is 24-hour security throughout Park West.

Agent: Sherry FitzGerald New Homes 01-667 1888 Price: One-beds with study from 249,995, two-beds from 289,995 and threebeds from 345,000
