ON TO a highly entertaining evening down Park Avenue way, enjoying the first of Enterprise Ireland's informal networking evenings for young Irish go-getters in NYC. It must be stressed that I'm not a young Irish go-getter, by any stretch of the imagination, but when the food and drink was free and speaker for the evening was Bill 'Penny Apples' Cullenf How could one possibly resist? There's a funny shorthand between the new Irish in this town;
everyone means business, and everyone knows everyone else means business, so the bullshit levels are kept to a minimum . . . this bunch simply gets on with it. By all accounts, the night was a great success . . . hopefully they'll let me into the next one. I've got to get a business card.
