Pommery Pop, 10 In her hey-day Ms Moss and other models were frequently seen sipping champagne from miniature bottles through a straw. The Pommery version comes in wonderfully bright pink or blue coloured bottles, complete with straw. The champagne is light, crisp and slightly sweet, the perfect pickme-up after an exhausting trip up and down the cat-walk.

La Riva dei Frati Prosecco NV, 14.95 This was a wine of the week a few months back, which only shows how cutting-edge this column is. My sources in the celebrity world tell me that bellini remains the trendy drink at all of the best parties. The bellini was invented in 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani of Harry's Bar in Venice. A bottle of prosecco mixed in with peach juice (ideally freshly pureed white peaches, but a supermarket carton will do) makes for a deliciously refreshing drink.

Schloss-Vollrads Riesling Kabinett 2004, 20 Glass-tops serve the same function as screwcaps but are so much more elegant as well as being easier to operate. German Riesling is always the ultimate thinking fashionistas drink . . . light, low in alcohol (and therefore calories), and a wonderful aperitif. The flip-top glass lid on this wine makes it all the more exciting, and it comes in a wonderful perfume-shaped bottle. The wine too is delicious . . . fresh, vibrant green apple fruits and a snappy dryish finish.
For leaders, not followers.
