According to designers Tim and Kit Kemp, their hotel offers "affordable chic in the heart of Knightsbridge".
With a chintz versus modern mix, all of the hotel's 44 rooms have the stamp of Kemp upon them, some bedecked in soothing neutrals, others awash with bold, dramatic colours.
There's no restaurant in the hotel but there is a gourmet menu available for 24-hour room service.
What's the best thing?
The quirkiness of the place . . .modern meets traditional plus a few other little designer touches like the retro radios in all bedrooms.
And what about the artwork, original pieces by British artists on display in the two drawingrooms . . . the African-themed room and the paler, more relaxing library?
Will it break the bank?
Standard double rooms are priced from 255 per night with junior suites at 425 and the top-of-the-pile Knightsbridge suite at 600.
