Easy to get to?
Couldn't be any easier . . .
Aer Lingus has three flights a day into Charles de Gaulle airport while Ryanair has two or three flights daily into Beauvais, just north east of the French capital.
So what's to see then?
All the usual sights, of coursef but we're talking fashion this week so what's a girl (or guy) to do in this department?
Well, if it's designer names you're after you'll be spoilt for choice on the Right Bank where the famous fashion streets of Rue St-Honore and Rue du Faubourg St-Honore are still where it's at.
Chanel, Versace, Dior, Hermesf they're all here, or in nearby Avenue Montaigne, the prime creme de la creme shopping street in the French capital.
Across the river nowadays you will find the likes of Sonia Rykiel, Prada, Christian Lacroix et al in the formerly more bohemian district of StGermain.
You'll also find the city's classiest department store here, on Rue de Sevres . . .
Bon Marche.
Meanwhile, if you're after a quirkier look, then head to the Marais district and check out Issey Miyake on Place des Vosges or L'Eclaireur, an ultra-trendy designer clothes emporium, on Rue des Rosiers.
And accommodation?
For around 100 you'll get a double room in the Hotel de Nice (0033 142785529), an atmospheric little hotel on the edge of the Marais where no two rooms are the same and the quirkiness of the place keeps drawing you back.
