Company's plan for 'spaceport' in Middle East



A US company that has sent three space tourists into orbit said yesterday it plans to build a $265m spaceport in the United Arab Emirates, a day after it announced it was in a venture to develop rocket ships for suborbital flights.

Space Adventures' announcement comes on the heels of its new partnership with investment firm Prodea, which will help finance suborbital vehicles being designed and built by the Russian aerospace firm Myasishchev Design Bureau.
