I AM a high street shopper without a doubt and I love getting a bargain. At the moment I am most proud of a pair of Moschino shoes which I bought in the Brown Thomas sale; they had been 500 and I got them for 50.
I think my style has improved since I started working in magazine publishing and I don't think you have to spend a fortune to look well.
I also don't believe in these 'obstacles' that have been created for women like they must be thin and tall before they can wear certain styles.
Women should wear what they want to wear. I have made it editorial policy on U Magazine never to feature diets because I don't think they are helpful, healthy or interesting. I think a magazine should make you feel good about yourself, not lecture you about the GI index and tell you how crap you are in bed.
The only item of clothing I am prepared to spend a lot of money on is a coat and this winter I am wearing a very plain black coat by Day Birger et Mikkelsen. I spent quite a lot but it's worth it.
I used to be very wary of colour and would often wear black and very muted colours but now I wear pinks and oranges and think 'to hell with it'. I love wearing dresses in loud prints and bright colours. My favourite outfit is a dress I wore to the PPAI awards two years ago.
It was ridiculously short at the front and long at the back and it had a kind of tropical print.
I think age has a lot to do with a woman's selfconfidence. I turned 30 recently and I feel much better about myself than I did during my 20s.
I hope I age like my mother, she looks beautiful and I think it's all down to the fact that she has always been so careful with her skin. I haven't decided whether or not I'll do down the road of cosmetic surgery.
There is always the danger that you can make yourself look ridiculous.
