NOT QUITE CONNECTING PEOPLE
Compiled by Enda McEvoy and Ewan MacKenna

Two items of note from the recent Vodafone All Star hurling trip to Singapore. The first concerns Adrian Logan of UTV, a proud Tyroneman whose mobile phone speed dial contains an entry for 'God'. (C'mon, we've already told you Logan is from Tyrone. The answer should be obvious. ) Canvassed for his opinion as to whom the God in question might be, a gentleman who hails from Kilsheelan, near Clonmel, had a quick fire response.

"Nicky English, of course!"

Talking of Tipperary people, Today FM's Paul Collins reminded this column that Sideline Cuts had complained in the past about the absence of Sunday newspaper folk from the All Stars trip and enquired if we would now do the decent thing and give credit where it was due. A fair point. So: Hurrah for Vodafone, they're brilliant and we love them very much.

If only we could say the same about Paul Collins.
