Leinster A suffered a narrow 19-17 defeat to the experienced Welsh side Crawshays yesterday.
The Blues opened the scoring in the seventh minute with an Eoghan Hickey penalty and that lead was stretched to 10 after Hickey converted a Gary Brown try.
A Rhys Oakley try cut the deficit to five at the break. The Welsh side went ahead courtesy of a Leigh Davies try converted by Matthew Jones and the Crawshays held a slender 12-10 lead for the first time in the game.
Stephen Grissing replied for Leinster with a superb try in the 50th minute which Hickey converted, But a late Dafydd Lockyer effort - converted by Jones . . . stole the game for the Welsh.
