This column may not be the biggest fan of Eddie O'Sullivan (and we're sure he's not the biggest fan of us either) but on Wednesday in Killiney the Irish coach finally came up with a line that Against the Head can agree with. When quizzed as to how he's viewed the criticisms of his coaching regime, O'Sullivan summed up the situation neatly.
"People are entitled to opinions, " said the coach, "and that's what most of the people in this room are paid for. I wouldn't agree with all of them, I wouldn't disagree with all of them but at the end of the day I've got to go out and do my job and be judged at the end of it. People have jobs to do, no more than myself. They're paid to write their opinions. My job is to coach the team and I do that to the best of my ability, they do that to the best of their ability. We won't always agree on things but that's the way the business works."
Here, here.
