Walking, DIY and getting Lost
SILE SEOIGE TV PRESENTER

I'M a very laid-back kind of person and, if I'm not working, then Sunday is the most laid-back day of my week. I love not having plans, not having to be anywhere in particular.

During the week I'll often have to get up very early . . . I live in Galway and a lot of my work is in Dublin so I tend to be on the road at the crack of dawn . . . so one of the best things about Sunday is the fact that I get to have a good long lie-in.

My new husband Glenn . . .we only got married last November . . . works a fairly rigorous nine-to-five week so he looks forward to a lazy Sunday morning too. That said, I don't want to waste the day either so if the weather is nice we'll get up at around eleven, bundle the dogs into the car, and head off for a big hike. We might go to the beach or Coole Park, somewhere the dogs can have a good run around.

We moved into our new house, which is actually quite an old house, last October and we're still renovating so there are always plenty of DIY projects to fill up a Sunday afternoon. We're building a pond at the moment, and trying to get the garden into some kind of shape, so we might be off looking for garden slabs, or furniture, or doing a bit of painting . . .

whatever's next on the list.

After all that productive activity, we need a bit of a break and we'd usually settle down with the papers and drink tea for a couple of hours, chilling out completely. I love getting a big pile of papers and ploughing through them.

It's also a day for getting on top of the washing and sorting out the clothes that I'm going to need for the week ahead. I travel a lot so I have to be organised about what I'll be wearing each day. I'm a freelancer and that means that I go wherever the work is . . . I might be doing voiceovers, or recording in a TV studio or at the moment there's a lot of preparation for the big ceili that I'll be emceeing as part of the St Patrick's Day Festival in Dublin. That should be great craic.

I'm not the most domesticated of girls . . . I did warn Glenn when we got married that I wasn't going to morph into super wife any time soon . . . so the Sunday roast with all the trimmings doesn't really feature on our agenda yet.

Maybe I'll learn.

When we get hungry we might head into Galway to our favourite Thai restaurant, the Thai Garden, for a big feed.

Saturday tends to be the day when we each catch up with our own friends and we might have a late night so we try to keep Sunday for just the two of us, unless we have friends staying.

Sunday evenings are for going to the cinema if we're feeling energetic, or, if we're not, lighting a fire, putting on our pjs and a face mask (me, not Glenn of course) and catching up on episodes of Lost that we've missed . . .

we're addicted. We're night creatures so we could be up till all hours.
