IRELAND'S ISEQ index slipped 66.51, or 0.8%, to 7820.81 on Friday. Fyffes increased 11c, or 5.4%, to 2.15.
The company said 2005 profit gained 29% as acquisitions contributed to higher revenue.
Elan dominated trading on the Dublin exchange. The shares tumbled by 8.1% or 91c to 1026 after the stock had gained almost 5% in Thursday's trading on the back of news that it, and its US partner, Biogen, released positive two-year results from the two Phase III clinical trials evaluating Tysabri.
LONDON FTSE 100 5858.7 Down 0.1% on week UK stocks advanced on Friday withVodafone pacing the rise after the company said it is in talks to sell its Japan unit to Softbank. BT gained after it was reported that the company is being targeted by several global private equity "rms. BT increased 6% to 220.5p. Vodafone surged 9.5p, or 8.5%, to 121.5p. British Airways gained 1p, or 0.3%, to 330p, after the company reported that passenger traffic increased 3.6% last month.
EUROPE Euro Stoxx 50 3461.41 Down 0.5% on week European technology stocks decreased after Intel cut its sales forecast, raising concern about earnings at STMicroelectronics, Europe's largest chipmaker, and ASML. STMicroelectronics slipped 1.2% to 14.63.
ASML dropped 0.7% to 17.68.
.NEW YORK DOW 11,021.43, down 0.2% Nasdaq 2,302.52, up 0.2% S&P 500 1,287.14, down 0.1% US stocks pared their advance as shares of telecommunications companies including Verizon Communications declined. A gauge of telecommunications shares lost 1% and was the biggest drag on the S&P 500 among ten industry groups.
