THE PJ Walls Group released the latest phase of 50 apartments at its impressive Northern Cross development on the Malahide Road in Dublin 17.
Adjoining the four-star Hilton Hotel, which opened last year and was also developed by the Walls Group, Northern Cross apartments are part of a 450m project that will see this entire area evolve into a brand new living quarter with its own civic plaza, train station, shops, offices and leisure facilities.
When launched last year, 250 apartments sold here, mainly to first-time buyers.
Close to Dublin Airport and about 10 minutes' drive from Malahide and Portmarnock, Northern Cross is also convenient to the city by bus.
Together, the apartments and hotel form a gateway into the new town. A new boulevard along the Malahide Road will have shops and cafes, and other facilities will include a business campus and childcare centre.
In keeping with the ultramodern look of the building, apartments at Northern Cross are fresh and contemporary.
One-beds have a floor area of 45 sq m (480 square feet), while two-beds vary from 72 to 91 sq m (775 to 985 sq ft), and three-beds are from 83 to 95 sq m (895 to 1025 sq ft). All units have large windows and lots of light, while interiors are all painted white, giving a very streamlined look.
Fitted kitchens are Italianstyle and include stainless steel worktops and integrated appliances. Many apartments are dual aspect, and all open out to balconies. Other features include private roof gardens, and the courtyard has been beautifully landscaped.
Units are expected to be finished in autumn.
Price: one-beds from 265,000, two-beds from 320,000, and three-beds from 365,000.
