Plenty of bread in Brennanstown
June Edwards

ELEVEN millionaire homes houses went on sale this weekend in Brennanstown, Cabinteely, Co Dublin. An exclusive development, with an array of posh features including a hydro-massage spa in the back garden, homes here don't come cheap, with prices from 1.35m.

Part of the overall 250m plus Brennanstown development launched back in 2004, these 11 homes are well under way and due to be ready from June onwards. The site is well landscaped, with most homes laid out in small cul-de-sacs dotted throughout. A new eight-acre park fronts the development, linking it to the 70-acre Cabinteely Park.

Developed by Tudor Homes and designed by architects FitzGerald Kavanagh & Partners, Brennanstown has a good mix of apartments, duplexes, townhouses and detached family homes.

Houses in the current phase each have a floor area of 163sq m (1,750sq ft). Finished in a mix of redbrick and timber cladding, they are bright and open-plan. Accommodation includes a hall with guest wc and storage, a livingroom, diningroom and kitchen cum familyroom, utility area, three double bedrooms, two with en-suite, one single room and a main bathroom.

From the hall, double doors open from the hall into the livingroom, a bright room with double-aspect windows which has double doors into a large diningroom with open-plan kitchen and familyroom, opening out to the rear patio and garden.

Extensive glazing coupled with the open-plan design combine to give these homes a good sense of space and light.

Standard features in all homes include ultra-modern German-fitted Pronorm kitchens with granite worktops, American larder-style fridge-freezer, and large granite centre island, integrated Neff appliances, Italian porcelain flooring, wiring for sound surround in livingroom, Wiemann fitted wardrobes, and double-glazed Nordan windows and doors. Bathrooms come with a contemporary glass sink, granite flooring and fitted mirrors. All livingrooms are wired for surround sound, while rear gardens are landscaped, and include decking and a hydromassage spa.

Price: four-bed detached houses from 1.35m Agent: Sherry FitzGerald New Homes, 01-6671888
