ALREADY the common snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis, is fading from the garden picture. Soon it will be as though it was never there at all, just like the snow itself.
Before that happens, while they are still sturdy and fully in the green, you need to start digging, dividing and replanting congested or overcrowded clumps, particularly if they didn't "ower as vigorously as they should have. Replant in smaller groups with a scattering of seaweed or other organic fertiliser.
You'll be amazed at how quickly they will have multiplied by next year.
