THE first tranche of offices in the 200m Westpark Shannon development campus will be available in the summer.
Located in the Shannon Free Zone, the 40-acre development consists of seven office blocks totalling one million square feet, a health and fitness centre, bistro, children's activity centre, medical facility, convenience store and car parking. The campus will feature leading edge telecommunications infrastructure to cater for the needs of the most demanding multinational companies. Central Park, a three-acre campusstyle landscaped area, will be at the heart of the scheme, and is intended to create a series of social and communal facilities for workers from the various companies.
Westpark Shannon Ltd is forecasting that the scheme will deliver 1,500 jobs by 2010 and when completed will have the capacity to support between 1,500 and 3,000 jobs. International firms such as Halifax, GE Money, RSA Security and Debis Air Finance currently operate in the Free Zone.
Office suites from 4,000sq ft (370sq m) up to 70,000sq ft will be available in the first block. The accommodation is finished to shell and core standard.
