Newly affiliated to the Relais & Chateaux group, Hotel Daniel is a Parisian gem. With 19 rooms and seven suites, it is located on a quiet street in the city's grand-boulevarded 'Rive Droite', just a couple of minutes' walk from both the designer fashion mecca of the Rue Faubourg St Honore and from the Champs-Elysees.
What's the best thing?
The intimacy of the place . . .and the beautiful decor.
With a hint of the Orient throughout, the lobby is a haven, full of comfy sofas and strewn with dozens of cushions in colourful silks and brocades. Calmness prevails . . . no loud music, no kids running around.
Upstairs our attic room was the epitome of good taste . . .
muted colour scheme of pale, duck-egg green and taupe and with fabriccovered walls and a gorgeous bathroom with a claw-foot bath and a washbasin like highly-polished tin. From one of the windows you could see . . .
just about . . . the Eiffel Tower.
Will it break the bank?
Doubles from 380.
