At last! A job where I can indulge myself all day with beauty products galore. I can honestly say that I am a committed lotions and potions collector. Now don't get me wrong, I don't collect them for the fun of it . . . I only actively acquire product on highest recommendations.
My love of all things of this nature started a long time ago. I bought my first proper facial cleanser around the age of 14 and haven't looked back since. I don't believe that you have to shell out huge money to keep your skin in check or to look good with make-up but I firmly believe you have to experiment in a tried-and-tested fashion to find the right products for you.
My exposure to the world of high-end products started long before I joined Off the Rails but goes back 13 years to 1993, when I started modelling and won Miss Ireland.
I remember the excitement when Mac first opened up in Harvey Nichols in London (it was only a few years later that they set up their concession here in Brown Thomas) . . . my first visit was with a list as long as my arm for product for almost every make-up loving female that I knew.
'Taupe' lipstick and 'spice' lip liner were the absolute must-haves back then and every model in the country had them in their make-up bag. My quest to find the best had begun and continues to this day.
