THE Claregalway village shopping centre in County Galway is being extended to provide 12 additional retail units, an extensive car park and a number of new apartments.
A major feature of the new development will be the double level car park and the nine two- and three- bed apartments complex.
The new retail units will be targeted at owner occupiers and established businesses in the area which, according to agents Silke and Finn, is developing as the most important commercial centre in the area between Galway and Tuam.
Once just a rural village six miles north of Galway, Claregalway is now a rapidly expanding satellite town .
Owner occupiers will be given the opportunity to either purchase or lease sizeable units with basement storage facilities and the largest car parking facilities in the area.
Opportunities exist for a wide range of retail and commercial uses and identified targeted businesses include healthfood shop, financial institution, clothing, footwear store, book shop and dry cleaners.
Developers Cordil Construction are building the luxury apartments on an elevated site which will offer residents panoramic views from individual balconies.
The shopping complex already boasts a wide range of thriving businesses, including a 13,000 sq. ft. supermarket, a pharmacy, post office, a beautician's, a hairdresser's and a post office.
The existing shopping centre has been re-branded with new signage and external improvements by a team of professional brand consultants to complement the modern extension.
