THE AUSSIES are coming. Jane Scott, producer of My Brilliant Career, Crocodile Dundee and Shine, will introduce a festival of Australian movies at the IFI beginning on 21 April with Sarah Watt's Look Both Ways which explores the idea that everyone is only a moment away from disaster.
Writer director Scott Ryan will attend the closing night screening of his mock-umentary The Magician on 27 April in which he stars as a hit-man who allows a film student to make a fly-on-the-wall portrait of his life. Stay at home fans of Australian cinema can keep in the mood on Anzac Day on 25 April by hiring out a DVD collection of three movies by Peter Weir: The Truman Show, Witness and Gallipoli.
