Anyone visiting the south of Spain should look in on the La Concepcion Garden in Malaga, arguably the most spectacular tropical forest in Europe. It's so richly planted with exotic trees and shrubs, many over 200 years old, that it's become a popular location for movies. The live-action Jungle Book was shot there, as were the Tarzanmovies and the Kenko coffee ads. With Almeria, a popular location for westerns, not far off, it's easy to see why Spain is increasingly becoming a rival to Hollywood for American film productions. Apparently Maureen O'Hara started the trend back in 1954 when she insisted on filming Fire over Africa in Malaga.
