Airbrush Legs by Sally Hansen (15.95) Gives great coverage and hides everything from freckles and thread veins to small scars and even bruises (for the clumsy woman like me).

It is enriched with vitamin K which they claim can fade blemishes over time. I haven't used it enough yet to see if that happens (it's still a bit too chilly out there for me! ) Available in Roches Stores.

Spray-on Nylons (19.95) This is a make-up for the legs made of micro-fine silk particles and in fairness to this claim it does feel very silky smooth. It discreetly covers irregularities of the skin like pores and spots.

Like all sprays of its kind it is water and sweat resistant, and will only come off with soap and water. Available in Brown Thomas Yves Saint Laurent Make up Leg Mousse (30) If the toned but not necessarily tanned look isn't enough for you then how about this one. It is a lovely light foam that you rub in with your hands.

It dries in only one minute, is transfer and water resistant and gives your legs a healthy tanned effect.
