NOW there's little point in telling you how to apply your eye colour if your eyes are in need of some TLC first. There's a variety of different treatment products out there that will moisturise, de-puff and possibly help to reduce those dark circles.
These are some that I've tried but of course its always best to road test everything yourself and figure out what works best for you.
Clarins Skin-Smoothing Eye Mask (31.50) A light cream that you leave on for five to 10 minutes. I don't get particularly dark circles under my eyes so I can't vouch for its effect on those but boy do I get puffy ones , , especially in the mornings (and even more so if there has been alcohol the night before). It did have a soothing effect and made them look a good deal less puffy and certainly took the dehydrated look away.
Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Instant Treatement Eye Mask (50) This is specifically aimed at targeting uneven texture, fine lines and crow's feet. And at almost 35 I can claim all of the aforementioned. My eyes definitely looked a damn sight better after this treament. The only snag is that it's a 15-minute process and that's a lot of time for me in the mornings. Probably best to pop them on while you have your cereal!
