A Civilised Traveller's Guide to Turin (The Little Bookworm, 2006), by Eugenia Bel Not like your average guide-book in either content or format, this is a more personal take on 'Italy's most misunderstood and underappreciated city' and it certainly succeeds in taking the reader on a cultural journey to its heartland, while at the same time sprinkling the text with snatches of historical detail and anecdote. It's the 'walks' though, that really work, with three of them presented here, taking us strolling from piazza to piazza across Turin
