Fulham win on the road for "rst time this season
Simon Stone City of Manchester Stadium

FA PREMIERSHIP MANCHESTER CITY 1 FULHAM 2

STEED MALBRANQUE scored in the dying minutes to hand Fulham their first away win in 51 weeks of the Premiership. In a game that might have easily petered out in a dull end-of-season affair, both sides started like they meant business and kept that momentum going for the full 90 minutes.

After numerous chances at both end, city defender Richard Dunne finally broke the deadlock 20 minutes after the break, sliding in to connect with Micah Richards' header and sending the ball into the roof of the net.

It seemed that City had the game wrapped up but Fulham had other ideas with substitute Collins John, who came on for Heidar Helguson, latching onto Luis Boa Morte's pass and slotting home in the final 10 minutes.

The home side continued to push forward and were nearly rewarded when Darius Vassell's replacement Georgios Samaras sent in a looping shot but was denied by an off-the-line clearance.

The visitors then rubbed salt in City's wounds, claiming an injury-time winner through Malbranque. The talismanic midfielder provided the finishing touch to a Fulham break and smashed his shot past David James into the right-hand corner and secure that long-awaited win.
