Last 15 spacious quality homes at Earlswood have attractive features

HOMEHUNTERS get a last chance this weekend to buy a four-bed house at the popular Earlswood residential scheme just off the Navan Road at Ashtown, Dublin 15. A large development on a 50-acre site, Earlswood will eventually comprise around 1,400 homes, mostly apartments and duplexes and three-bed townhouses. To date the three-storey, four-beds have sold really well and Capel Developments have launched the last 15.

Selling agent Kevin Harmon, of Hamilton Osborne King, expects strong interest in these four-beds which are priced from 575,000. "The combination of their size, the finish and proximity to the city will generate a lot of interest for these homes, " says Harmon.

Just off the Navan Road at the Halfway House, the Earlswood site takes in Dublin 15, 9 and 7, and when completed will have its own train station, shops, cafes, creche, medical centre and other local amenities.

Already many of the units are sold and occupied and the development has its own bus terminus connecting it to the city centre less than four miles away.

Designed by O'Mahony Pike, these contemporary four-bed townhouses are bright and spacious. Each house has a floor area of 145sq m (1,560sq ft) and accommodation is laid out over three floors.

At ground level there is a good-sized hall, guest wc, and large sittingroom with double doors into a kitchen cum diningroom. Kitchens are fitted with solid wood Shaker-style units, and double patio doors open out from here to a city garden with deck. Upstairs on the first floor there is a second reception room opening out to a balcony overlooking the garden. The main bedroom with en suite is also at first floor level, while the second floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom. Eleven of the 15 houses come with cobblelocked driveways, while four houses incorporate a garage.

Standard features in all homes include Nolan kitchens with appliances, landscaped gardens with timber decks, fitted wardrobes in all rooms, built-in understairs storage, gas-fired central heating, prewiring for broadband and Spanish ceramic tiling in kitchens and bathrooms.
