The blessings of life in Blessington

HOME-HUNTERS looking for newly-built family houses with gardens, now a rarity in Dublin, will no doubt be interested in Blessington Manor, the latest residential scheme from Willowbridge Developments. When completed there will be 134 three- and four-bed houses on site, but this weekend sees the release of 54 units.

Designed by architects Fitzgerald & Associates, six types of home are on offer, providing plenty of choice.

Just outside the village, Blessington Manor is close to shops, schools and other amenities. Traditional in style, these detached and semi-detached houses come with front and back gardens.

Building is well under way and this first phase is due to be ready between next September and February 2007.

House Type A is a threebed semi with a floor area of 89 square metres (960 square feet), and is aimed at firsttime buyers. Accommodation comprises a hall, sitting room with double doors to kitchen/dining room.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with en-suite, and the main bathroom.

House B has a floor area of 102 square metres (1098 square feet), and comes in two different styles, one with main entrance hall from the front, and one with front door to the side. A double-fronted home, there is a sitting room on one side of the hall, with a good-sized L-shaped kitchen/dining room on the other side of the hall. The dining area opens out to the patio, while upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom.

House C is the largest of the three-beds with a floor area of 111 square metres (1200 square feet). In this house, the entrance porch at the gable end opens into a spacious lounge which runs the width of the house, while on the other side is an openplan L-shaped kitchen/dining room which again opens onto the garden via patio doors.

The four-bed detached houses have a floor area of 149 square metres (1600 square feet). A double-fronted house, this home has a large living room with bay window, along with a kitchen/dining room, study, three double bedrooms and one single, the main bathroom and en-suite.

One of the most stylish houses at Blessington Manor is Type F, a five-bed detached home of 185 square metres (2000 square feet). At ground floor there is a good-sized living room, a family room, dining room, and kitchen/ breakfast room with utility area, while upstairs there are three double rooms, two with en-suite, two singles and the main bathroom.

Features include fitted kitchens with granite worktops, living room fireplaces, gas central heating, and wiring for Smart technology.
