THIS weekend sees a new launch of homes at Carrickmines Green, the large residential scheme on Glenamuck Road in Carrickmines, Dublin 18.
Some 100 apartments and houses sold out quickly here when launched late last year, and selling agents at Hooke & MacDonald are expecting similar interest in the current phase.
With a good mix of units available, from one-bed apartments to four-bed houses, this scheme is aimed at a variety of buyers, from young singles to families. One-beds start from 345,000.
Just off Junction 15 of the M50, there is good access to most major routes, and a proposed extension of the Luas line to Carrickmines should add to both the rental potential and capital appreciation of these homes. Close to Foxrock and Leopardstown, Carrickmines Green is near shops, schools and local amenities, while the new Dundrum shopping centre is a few minutes' drive away.
One-bed apartments range in size from 42 to 46sq m (456 to 495sq ft, while two-bed apartments vary from 59 to 81sq m (640 to 870sq ft). Also available are three-bed duplexes of 110sq m (1,180sq ft), and three-storey four-bed townhouses of 148sq m (1,590sq ft).
All apartments and duplexes open out to goodsized balconies or terraces, while houses include private gardens. Overall the site is well landscaped and includes several landscaped garden areas.
Homes here include some attractive features as standard including fitted Alno kitchens with integrated appliances, and G&H Collection bathrooms and ensuites with wall and floor tiling. Parking is included in the price.
Price: One-beds from 345,000, two-beds from 450,000, three-bed duplexes from 635,000 and fourbed houses from 820,000 Agent: Hooke & MacDonald 016318402 and Douglas Newman Good New Homes 01-4912600
