ELEVATION EYES BMG AS BONO IS ELEVATED TO REPRESENT IRELAND

ELEVATION PARTNERS, the US private equity fund in which U2 lead singer Bono is a partner, is among the potential bidders for the 1.5bn music publishing arm of German conglomerate BMG. Rival publisher Vivendi Universal and entertainment group Viacom are also likely to run the rule over the company.
