The working population of Ireland continues to grow, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO). The figures show that the number of people in employment grew by 89,800 in the first quarter of 2006.
Employment figures now stand at just under two million. And it appears that more people are going into full-time employment, with full-time figures up by 73,400 in the quarter. The latest survey from the CSO also showed the labour force has increased by 95,800 to just over two million.
