There's a Holly nice place to live in Dublin 15
June Edwards

HOLLYSTOWN Developments got off to a great start last weekend, when they clocked up over 20m in sales at the launch of Chapelwood, the latest homes at Hollystown in Dublin 15. Aimed at the trader-up market, these houses are traditional family homes with gardens, and there was huge interest with 40 houses sold out within 48 hours.

The last four houses in the current phase are on show today, and would-be buyers can put their names down for the next phase due out in the autumn.

Just opposite Hollystown Golf Course, Chapelwood is between the N2 and N3, about 14km from the city centre. The M50 is a short drive away, while nearby neighbourhoods include Blanchardstown and Clonee.

The scheme comprises four house types, all finished in a mix of redbrick and render, and the impressive interiors of the show-units are by Arlene McIntyre of Velvet.

The Steeple is a larger than average, three-bed semidetached house of 127sq m (1,370sq ft). Accommodation includes an open-plan kitchen cum diningroom to the front of the house, a separate livingroom to the rear which overlooks the back garden, a utility room and guest wc at ground level.

On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, a small study and main bathroom, while at second level there is another double room with ensuite.

The Cloister is a four-bed semi of 137sq m (1,480sq ft).

Also laid out over three floors, this house comprises a livingroom to the front of the house, a kitchen/diningroom to the rear, along with a utility room and guest wc at ground level.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms, one en-suite and a family bathroom, while the main bedroom and en-suite are on the second floor.

The Rookery is a four-bed detached house of 166sq m (1,790sq ft). Similar to the fourbed semis, this house also has a large reception room, kitchen cum diningroom, utility room, guest wc, three double bedrooms, two with en-suite, one single room and the main bathroom.

The Belfry is the largest of the detached four-beds with a floor area of 173sq m (1,860sq ft). At ground floor there is a livingroom, kitchen cum diningroom, study, utility room and guest wc. On the first floor there are two double rooms, one with en-suite, a single room and main bathroom. The main bedroom and en-suite are at second floor level.

Standard features at Chapelwood include fitted kitchens with granite worktops and Bosch integrated appliances, Vogue sanitary ware with jacuzzi bath, Rationel timber windows and doors, and natural stone fireplaces in living rooms.

Price: three-bed semis from 505,000, four-bed semis from 565,000 and four-bed detached houses from 745,000.
