Six new styles to choose from in Dorrins Strand by Sligo sea

THOSE hunting for a new home around the Sligo area will likely be interested in Dorrins Strand, a residential scheme in Strandhill. Built by CassCon Developments, it comprises 121 homes in six styles, mostly three- and fourbeds, with a small number of five-beds and two-bed apartments.

Strandhill is a coastal village with plenty of amenities and its proximity to Sligo, just five miles away, makes it a popular residential area.

Designed by Taylor Architects of Castlebar, Dorrins Strand has a mix of apartments and houses on a landscaped site. Finished in a mix of white render with timber cladding and feature brickwork, these houses will be bright and airy. All the houses will have private back gardens.

Selling from plans, the scheme is due to be finished within 18 months. This first phase sees the launch of the three- and four-bed houses, with apartments due onstream later this year.

House type A is a detached four-bed with a floor area of 146sq m (1,575sq ft). The twostorey, double-fronted house has a hall with guest wc, living room, study, open-plan diningroom cum kitchen, utility room, three double bedrooms, one single, one en-suite and a main bathroom.

Similar in layout and style, but slightly smaller and with a different facade, House B has a floor area of 140sq m (1,500sq ft). It includes a hall, livingroom, study, dining room cum kitchen, utilityroom, four bedrooms, one ensuite and main bathroom.

House D is the largest of the detached four-beds at 214sq m (2,296sq ft), with a balcony at first floor level. At ground level there is a hall, guest WC, study, livingroom with double aspect windows, diningroom, spacious kitchen and breakfastroom. Upstairs are four double rooms, two en-suites, and the main bathroom. The main bedroom also has a walk-in wardrobe.

Three-beds in a choice of semi-detached and terraced units range in size from 100sq m to 106sq m (1,076sqft to 1,140sq ft). Prices have yet to be set for two-bed apartments that will range in size from 62sq m to 67sq m (664sq ft to 723sq ft).

Standard features will include oil-fired central heating, paved patios, wiring for broadband, tongue and groove flooring upstairs, and electric showers in all ensuites.
