Moloney has 10 years' specialised operational insurance and insurance recruitment experience. Prior to joining Abrivia, she was responsible for the insurance division at one of Ireland's largest recruitment consultancies. Over the years she has built close relationships with many of the country's leading blue-chip and multinational organisations.

NovaUCD, the innovation and technology transfer centre at University College Dublin (UCD), has appointed Dr Cormac Kilty to its board. Kilty is chairman of the Irish BioIndustry Association and founder and CEO of Irish biotechnology company, Biotrin Holdings. He is also chairman of the start-up company Opsona Therapeutics. His role on the NovaUCD board will see him joining other senior representatives of industry, the public sector and UCD to advise the university on the commercialisation of research.

PIBA Mortgage Services, a notfor-profit mortgage service for independent brokers, has appointed Aileen Harney general manager, starting in October.

Previously, Harney worked with Newry company Solent Mortgage Services as an underwriter, where she was quickly promoted to general manager.

David Courtney has been appointed regional sales manage at Carlow-based company, Netwatch. Courtney joins from Lyreco where he gained considerable experience in a senior management role in the sales department. He will develop and manage Netwatch's continuing business growth in the north Leinster region.

The House Hotel in Galway has appointed Brenda Murphy group sales and marketing manager.

Having spent the past five years as director of sales and marketing at the Radisson SAS Hotel and Spa Galway, Murphy has a proven track record in understanding the requirements and imperatives of the Galway market. She will also oversee sales and marketing for the House Hotel, Absolute Spa and Absolute Hotel, Limerick.

Recruitment software company Candidate Manager has appointed Gary Flynn chief executive officer. Flynn was previously senior vice-president with Candidate Manager in the US and he led the successful rollout of the company in the US market. He is a graduate of Dublin Institute of Technology.
