TORRANCE MAKES LIGHT OF THE WEATHER

The infamous Scottish weather played right into the hands of the home contingent at the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open, with Sam Torrance and Bill Longmuir making light of the incessant rain with rounds of 67 and 68 to force themselves right back into contention at the halfway stage of the second round. The Tartan duo set the clubhouse lead at one under par while watching the rest of the field battle to stay afloat in wet conditions at Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club.

"I played very, very solid and should be in good shape at the end of the day. I don't think I will be more than three or four behind, " said Torrance.
