YOU know autumn has definitely arrived when you see ads for night classes everywhere. And if you're sick of cricket, crochet and Carrickmacross lacemaking, then a property investors course might just be the thing.
Following on from the success of UCD's 'property ladder' course last year, and University of Limerick's 'Location Location Location' course, each attracting over 300 students, Portobello College in Dublin has decided to run a property course of its own.
While nearly everyone considers themselves an expert these days, the eight-week evening course is aimed at anyone interested in the property market, from seasoned investors with a large portfolio to first-time buyers making their first purchase.
Topics covered on the course include latest investment trends in Ireland, Britain, Spain, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, South Africa, Dubai and Shanghai and other parts of China. An overview of some of the emerging markets will also be given, including places such as Latvia, Slovenia and Croatia.
Other practical tips will cover things like how to finance your investment, how best to use SSIA money for property investment, and strategies for buying commercial property.
The Property Ladder course starts on Tuesday 26 September, and costs 180.
