Godolphin's Dubai World Cup winner dies

DUBAI WORLD CUP winner Electrocutionist has died of a suspected heart attack. Godolphin's five-year-old, winner of last year's Juddmonte International Stakes, was last seen finishing a fine second to Hurricane Run in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes. A statement yesterday read: "Electrocutionist has sadly died following a suspected heart attack. He died this morning following the incident."

Electrocutionist was being prepared for the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket on 14 October.
