Getting out of the rough and into the perfect partnership

MIX AND MATCH golf is the exciting new concept being promoted by teaching professional Pat Geraghty and golf artist Niki Purcell who believe that romance and golf can go together like, well, a horse and carriage.

They seem to believe that those who can share a bunker experience, might just get to enjoy each other's company on and off the course. It could do a lot to rid the world of the golf widow and make going golfing a family thing. rather than a cause of tension.

Their idea is to bring together groups of single people to play golf and speed date. The latter part will come easily to those aged 20-45 but may prove a challenge to some of those aged over 45 as the events are to be arranged in two age brackets.

The idea is that for 80 one will get to play in a nine-hole scramble with partners changing every few holes, attend a wine reception, enjoy golf tips and take part in a speed-dating session.

A Singles Golf Society is also being formed offering a mixture of golf and social events. Not to worry if one isn't a player because tuition is included. For details contact info@mixandmatchgolfdating. com or telephone 086-2424373.
