Farinelli finishes fastest for McCullagh
RACING: CORK REPORT Claire Barry

FARINELLI, from the John Oxx stable, may have shown signs of reluctance when being loaded into the starting stalls for the listed Navigation Stakes at Cork yesterday, but the Sheikh Mohammedowned gelding's resolution couldn't be faulted at the business end where he mastered Bawaader in the closing stages for a head win under Niall McCullagh.

Jockey Kieren Fallon gained some compensation for missing out on the rides on Holy Roman Emperor and Huricane Run at Newmarket when recording a neck success on the Aidan O'Brientrained Frederick Ozanam in the Enda McCormack Memorial EBF Median Auction Race.

Chris Timmons, a 17 yearold attached to the Kevin Prendergast stable, rode his fourth winner, when getting 8/1 chance Lady Power home by a head in the Charleville Apprentice Handicap.

Trainer Tom Hogan was away and missed seeing 20/1 outsider Lyndalee land the Kanturk Handicap by a short head in the hands of Davy Condon.
